In order to be recognized as a member of PSOA, interested candidates need to fulfil eligibility criteria according to the applied-for membership level:
- Fellow of Pakistan Society of Actuaries (FPSA): The candidate must hold a fellowship certification from Society of Actuaries (SOA), Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), or Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). If an interested candidate is a member of another recognized actuarial society, he must gain approval from PSOA’s council.
- Associate of Pakistan Society of Actuaries (APSA): The candidate must hold an associateship certification from Society of Actuaries (SOA), Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), or Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). If an interested candidate is a member of another recognized actuarial society, he must gain approval from PSOA’s council.
- Student Member of Pakistan Society of Actuaries: The candidate must have passed and received credit for, at least 1 exam conducted by the Society of Actuaries (SOA), Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), or Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). If an interested candidate has passed a professional exam offered by any other actuarial society, he must gain approval from PSOA’s council.
